Time to cross the border to have the kids visit Canada for the first time! We had so much fun checking out French words on signs and in stores. The Quebec language tends to use more French vocabulary than in France! Best one: maïs soufflé means popcorn. Even in France we say popcorn! This is going to be a fun trip for sure!
Quebec border agents expect you to speak French!
You know you're in Quebec when stop signs are replaced by arrêt. Even in France do the signs say stop!

Must stop at Tim Hortons.
You know you're in Quebec when Costco starts selling winter jackets in July!
Or when the coffee is Tim Hortons and not Starbuck's!
Love all the French signs. Magasiner instead of faire les magasins or faites vos courses.

Found bouchées à la reine crusts! What on earth is a pâté chinois?!? A Quebec-style shepherd pie? No way!
