One Year with Alex

One year ago we met Alex in person for the first time and our family grew by one. This has been a special year for all of us. We have seen Alex grow and develop in so many ways and Alex has helped us continually develop our parenting skills! It has been such a joy to see the world through the eyes of our little boy. We would like share some of our favorite memories from the past year in this video.

Around town

Wow, has it been two weeks since our last post??? We have been super busy enjoying the awesome fall weather. Alex is doing well at Parent's Day Out. He is slowly getting used to going and every time we drive by the church that sponsors it, he tells us that is "Alex School." On the weekends we try to meet up with friends, spend some time in the park, or visit a local festival. Here are a few pictures from our adventures.

Parent's Day Out (PDO)

Alex had a special day today. It was his first time at "Alex School" otherwise known as parent's day out. Papa dropped him off at 9:30 this morning. Since we had visited earlier in the week, Alex recognized the room and started playing right away. After about 5 minutes it was time for Papa to go. Alex was not so excited about this, but in the end it worked out. Alex's teachers said he did fine and he did eat his lunch and take a nap. He was happy to see me again at 2:30 this afternoon and he spent the rest of the afternoon playing as if it was a normal day. Yeah! Alex will go to PDO every Friday, so this will become our new routine. A few pictures from the big day and also this past week.
