We've been experiencing a cold snap. That means snow days with no school due to cold temperatures and freezing rain. Indoor fun it is.

Pancakes sound good on a cold Saturday night. Sophie the artist has an idea up her sleeve: squeeze bottle!

It must be cold when an owl decides to come check out our pergola.

Papa got take out and saw an owl when he got back.

Sledding

Snow day means one thing: sledding at the neighborhood park with the big hill!

Snow Days

After a two-week Christmas break, the kids (big & small) finally went back to school. Then of course the snow arrived. So they ended up in school for two days only and stayed home three this week!

Epiphany

The French connection gathered to celebrate Epiphany. Christèle made three galettes des rois !

Papa enjoys attending French parties. French cakes and 
 company can only improve your language skills!

The galette à la frangipane is delicious. 
Goes so well with Christmas tea and cider!

Holiday Party

Maman & Papa attended their very first work holiday party together.

Morton Salt booked Eddie V's seafood restaurant on the Plaza.

All bundled up, ready to party.

Food was delicious. Just way past our bedtime!

Fou Frog

Alex chose a French restaurant to celebrate his birthday. 

While Alex wanted to eat at the Kammerzell, a trip to Strasbourg
was not in the cards for him. He "settled" for the Fou Frog.

The specials are not too shabby.

Alex ordered osso bucco, after oysters & French onion soup.

The holiday decors & light created the ambiance.

Sophie ate most of her steak au poivre.
