Birthday Girl

Someone has been planning her birthday as soon as the previous one was over. Wanna take a guess who the long-range planner of the family is?!? She typically changes her mind several times over the course of the year about the birthday theme, but this time it was pretty clear: unicorns are back!

Happy 8th birthday to our Unicorn Princess who still believes in magic. We are all under your spell!

Un jour mon prince viendra, avec une jolie licorne !

That's what I had in mind

Pottery

The artist desk is full of crafts. The pottery wheel was hidden way in the back... Time to get it out to make a vase.

Playing with clay is so cool

Maman is helping me get it soft

Here I go sculpting some design on my vase

Meccano

The last two Sundays had snow on the ground, in April! A good thing a new box of Meccano was available to build an helicopter. Papy would have been proud of his grandson playing with his beloved Meccano.

Thank you papa for helping me finish my project!

Art Show

Tonight was open house at school where families could see all the artwork the kiddos created in the past few weeks. How fun to visit the classrooms! Here are the creations we brought home from the little artists.

Easter Weekend

We had a fun time hosting uncle Mark's family (sans Henry & Kristin) for Easter. A trip to Crown Center to eat at Fritz made the list, as well as walking around Union Station and taking the Streetcar to the River Market.

Fritz, here we come!

Waiting patiently (for the train)

Aren't we too old for pics

Cousins are just the best! Thanks for coming!

Lego

The Art of the Brick exhibit by Nathan Sawaya did not disappoint. Do we have enough Lego bricks at home to make one of these sculptures?!? Probably not!
