Fracture

Well, it was bound to happen. Maman slipped and fell at home. The foot is indeed fractured. The kids thought the story would have been better if she had fell on ice while shoveling snow. Instead she was just getting into the sunroom to start her work day when everyone else in the house was asleep.

The side of the foot is bruised alright. Kytta Salbe to the rescue.

X-rays don't lie: it's a fracture.

Boot & crutches are my new best friends.
Now Maman can work from home again for
4 to 6 weeks. What an evil plan...

Snow Camp

Alex traveled to Colorado with church youth for his last snow camp.

Ruben and Kate are there too. Ah...

Youth mingling.

The Rainbow delegation.

For the first time ever, Alex has pants on. Progress!

Pika

Let's go shopping before the snow.

The shopping list does not include Squishmallows...

Superbowl

Well, the Superbowl wasn't as exciting as years prior...

It's not for the lack of Chiefs gear though...

Birthday

How do you bring cheer when your birthday falls in the bitterly cold winter? You bake Hawaiian bread!

It's about time we use this bread mix!

It's so cold the bread didn't rise as much. Oh well...
