March means college basketball and Kansas won the championship again after 14 years. And Alex won the church bracket too! Lucky guess or actual research?!? Who knows...

Spring

Spring is coming! Maman planted farmer Katie's garlic bulbs last fall. They'll be ready by mid-June. Can't wait to see fully grown garlic for the first time!

Exciting to see what's below the dirt / earth!

Parade

After a 3-year public health pause, we're back in Brookside's St Patty's Day parade!

Do we have enough green on to look Irish now?!?

Thanks, Jan & Lonnie, for having us participate in your store parade.
Alex knows how to manage kids (big & small) demanding candy.
Sophie didn't want to deal with that, so holding the sign is a much safer job!

The whole gang in action. Here we come!

This year Papa was St Patty's right hand.

Qui est le plus beau ? C'est mon Alex. Comme d'hab !

Huge crowd on a beautiful day. We did it!

TV

We inherited a television. Too big to fit in our living room. So it ended up in Alex's room. Sophie is enjoying it when Alex is out.

Encanto is looking mighty fine on this big screen TV.

Cool TV: Sophie will be back!

Cookies

If Papa can make chocolate cake at school, Sophie can bakes cookies too!

Sophie brought white chocolate chips. Sara's got all the ingredients!

Baking cookies with friends is the best!

Should we make a monster cookie too?!?

Proud bakers about to taste their creation.

Chocolate Cake

What makes the world go round? Chocolate. What makes elementary school students ecstatic? Chocolate cake made by the best kitchen manager of the district! Just before a snow day and the start of spring break: what could be better than that?!?

Papa was busy in the kitchen making cake for 300 students!

Principal announcement: gotta love the mask!
