Piano Recital

Alex has been taking piano lessons for about six months now. He is practicing three times a day every day. His teacher figured out that Alex is all about cars and competition, so he devised a game to encourage students to practice each day for a prize. Alex took this very seriously and landed in first place. Way to go, Alex!

We were invited to Alex's first piano recital with another dozen students. Alex had a great performance. He got his first blue ribbon.

Special School Days

The kids had fun preparing for special activities at school this week. Alex participated in a Science Fair in elementary school. He had a display about the Snap Circuit that uncle Gilles gave him. This was quite a success, as the kids had fun dropping the electrical wire into salt water to make a siren sound. Sophie invited Papa at preschool for a Daddy-Dino-Day. What fun!

Birthday Party

The tradition continues. Papa made Alex a race car cake for his birthday party. This year, a Pagani made its grand appearance. Bravo to the baker!

Crafty Kids

Birthday Boy

Alex the Wallex is turning 8 today. Can you believe that he has reached the "age de raison"? One can only hope... Please don't grow up too fast, mon Alex!

He told maman this morning that he was special because maman will always be home for his birthday and not in the office. That is one great reason to be born on January 1st!
